I'm really sorry but can you tell me what a boat is? We don't have them on Pyrrhia and I don't remember anyone mentioning them on the Moira.

A boat is something that floats on water! Those of us who can't fly use them a lot.

But anyway, the point isn't about the boat. It's about the fact that my friend Riptide IS a boat, and I'm looking for a blind date for him!

Oh, that explains it, we don't really need those.

[ But oh gosh, a date?! The last and only time he had been on a date was with Papyrus months ago and it had been nice enough in theory but also incredibly awkward since they did not have a choice. Also Papyrus' definition of a date was very specific. ]

Well, it's not the worst, but it is just a room full of furniture and my Roomba Rumble trophy.

I think maybe we can find stuff to put on the walls? Maybe a rug? Little things add up to a nice room, as my dad always says.

Don't worry, you do not need to pay me. I don't own them. They're supposed to be for improving the rooms for organics but I don't see what you can't have some since there aren't that many of us.

I'll have to look through what we have, but do you have a favorite color? Do you like really soft pillows or firmer ones? You probably want larger ones if you're a Cybertronian, right?

My favourite colours are purple, black and red, but I'm honestly not that picky.

I'm a feliformer--a sapient Cybertronian, but instead of going back and forth between a vehicle and a biped, I go back and forth between a bipedal cat person and a quadrupedal cat person. I'm smaller than most of them, but bigger than a human. Would it be an intrusion if I stopped by to have a look?

I can't recall the last time I had a room all to myself, except for the ones that had bars. I've always lived with family, lovers, or close companions. I was part of a litter of four in a creche of eight: four cats, four birds.

It's a little scary, to be perfectly honest.

Yeah, that will be ok. A lot of it is in storage closet B on the fourth floor, I can meet you there if you want.

I had no idea there were Cybertronians like that! That's really cool. I've been getting more used to being the only quadruped around but it's still a bit weird sometimes.

I can relate. I grew up with four other dragonets and we shared a sleeping cave all our lives growing up. We were always together, all hatched on the same night. When I got here and was given my own room I found it really hard to sleep. Thankfully Cody agreed to move in with me, which has been nice. It's not the same but at least now I'm not alone.

I'm following up on Four's parole. How has her behavior been lately?

[It's all formal work stuff, but he can't stop sounding as if he's judging Starflight.]

[Starflight kind of assumes Minimus is always judging him, so this is not a new development.]

Fine, sir. I talked to her about the rules again and she's been spending a lot of the time in the library, which makes sense since she's an archivist, and I try to bring her things that are interesting so she won't harm the ship.

I am also pretty sure she hasn't been stealing, but it's um, kind of hard to tell.

I'll have to ask Ravage to inspect for stolen contraband. [Perhaps she could have taken the drugs he was locking up in his office!] The books should keep her occupied long enough to hopefully draw her away from a life of crime.

My roommate Peridot on the Moira had one that stayed in our room. She called it Pointless.

[And he sends a picture to Starflight of the biggest, ugliest purple tarantula he's probably ever seen.]

Isn't he cute? He's going to be on my bedside table!

[That was admittedly not what he was expecting. Starflight had seen some rather large spiders before (Pyrrhian megafauna meant many creatures were smaller than he was used to), but he had never seen one that color before.]

Are you sure it's safe? Animals that color are usually venomous.
